It seems like we are alomost always in the wind on the Gulf of Mexico.
With a tournament on the line, it helps knowing how to handle the wind.

Getting your fly down to the fish

Sink Tips and Distance Casting. Is There a line made for that?

You bet and Jim Teeny Fly Lines makes a few. Sink tips are useful to get your fly down into the feeding column where the bait is. Snook often wait in mangrove roots and ambush their prey as it drifts by in the current.
It is important to have your fly where the bait is. If you have to make a distance cast with a sink tip, of course
